The City of Port St. Lucie has introduced a corridor improvement project aimed at addressing traffic issues on Bayshore Boulevard. This initiative aligns with broader infrastructure efforts, such as the Capital Improvement Plan for 2025-2029, which outlines over $615 million in citywide projects.

Three design alternatives are under consideration, including two four-lane options with sidewalks and bike paths, as well as a two-way divided highway. The project may also feature a new roundabout at Floresta Drive, similar to recent intersection improvements at St. Lucie West Blvd and NW Peacock Blvd.
In addition to roadway enhancements, the city is exploring ways to improve public transit connectivity. The proposed Port St. Lucie Express Transit expansion could further support mobility along key corridors like Bayshore Boulevard.
