Port St. Lucie Temporarily Raises Yard Waste Collection Limit

The City of Port St. Lucie Office of Solid Waste will temporarily collect up to 6 cubic yards of yard waste per household each week from March 30 to April 24, 2026. This is an increase from the previous 4 cubic yard limit and comes at no extra cost to residents. The change addresses increased yard debris following a recent cold snap, aligning with the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance waste management, such as the temporary yard waste pickup limit increase. Residents needing removal beyond the weekly limit can request additional service for a fee. These initiatives support broader community goals, including community cleanup efforts in 2025, and are part of the city’s response to evolving needs, especially as St. Lucie County garbage fees rise for 2025.
