Port St. Lucie Police arrested Daniel Beyzer, 38, for impersonating a law enforcement officer while intoxicated in Port St. Lucie on January 13, 2026. The incident occurred near the intersection of SW Port St. Lucie Blvd. and SW Aster Ave., according to the Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD).

Port St. Lucie Impersonation Arrest Details

According to PSLPD, officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 9:30 p.m. after a driver reported being followed and pulled over by a white Cadillac. The caller stated the Cadillac’s driver claimed to be an off-duty police officer and activated flashing white lights.

Evidence Collected at the Scene

Officers observed white strobe lights coming from the Cadillac as it was positioned behind another vehicle. During the investigation, PSLPD determined Daniel Beyzer was not a law enforcement officer. Evidence indicated he activated fixed-mounted white lights and displayed a badge while interacting with the other vehicle’s occupants.

Officers also noted signs that Beyzer was impaired while operating the vehicle. A DUI investigation was conducted, including field sobriety exercises and a lawful breath test. According to official sources, Beyzer’s breath alcohol concentration exceeded Florida’s legal limit.
