Missing 5-Year-Old Found Deceased in Port St. Lucie Waterway

Police and emergency teams searching Port St. Lucie waterway for missing autistic boy

A 5-year-old boy reported missing from his home in Port St. Lucie was found deceased in a nearby body of water on the night of March 9.

Police responded to the 700 block of Southwest Crean Terrace at around 8 p.m. after receiving the missing child report. Surveillance footage showed the child leaving his residence at 7:15 p.m. The boy was located at the intersection of Southwest Juliet and Southwest Hampshire Lane at approximately 9:45 p.m. and transported to Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased around 11 p.m.

The search involved the Port St. Lucie Police Department, St. Lucie County Fire Rescue, and the use of drones, K-9 units, and air support.
