Vero Beach City Council Approves Paid Parking Plan at Regional Airport

The Vero Beach City Council has approved a plan to introduce paid public parking at Vero Beach Regional Airport. This move comes as the airport continues to grow, with American Airlines expanding service and the addition of new carriers increasing passenger traffic.

Under the plan, an operator will be able to create up to 500 paid parking spaces. The operator will pay the city through a land lease and a 25% concession fee from parking revenue. For more information about how the airport will manage this change, see details on the introduction of paid parking with a private operator. For the first six months, while parking lots are under construction, the operator will not be charged rent. Additionally, the airport is preparing for increased demand as JetBlue flights are set to begin at Vero Beach Regional Airport in December 2025.
