U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner visited the Walton & One redevelopment site on the east side of City of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
The 73-acre area is being considered by city officials for a federal Opportunity Zone designation. The site, which includes the MIDFLORIDA Event Center and is within a community redevelopment area, has future plans for restaurants, retail, office space, hotels, residential units, and a proposed United Soccer League stadium on Walton Road.
