The highly anticipated Costco Wholesale store is set to open its doors in Stuart, Florida, this April, marking the retail giant’s first location on the Treasure Coast. The store is currently under construction and promises an exciting shopping experience, complete with a spacious warehouse, a food court, a gas station, and nearby residential units.
Where Will the New Costco Be Located?
The 156,438-square-foot Costco will be situated on Kanner Highway, just south of Martin County High School. The development covers 49 acres and will include several features beyond the wholesale store itself:
- Restaurants within the development
- A large parking lot with 1,725 spaces
- An 18-pump Costco gas station
- 378 apartment units, creating a mixed-use community
Additionally, a new public road connecting Kanner Highway and Willoughby Boulevard is being constructed as part of the project, financed by developers, according to Tom Cosgriff, M&M Realty Project Manager.
