She started her career in January 2004, answering phones and gradually working her way up through various departments. “I started by answering phones and worked my way up through each department. When the property appraiser at that time decided to retire, I threw my hat in the ring and ran for office in 2016. I was elected and have been serving since,” she shared.

Franklin’s office recently achieved the Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration from the International Association of Assessing Officers. This rigorous process involved a detailed multi-month project, documenting assessment, exemptions, and mapping procedures. The result was a nearly 100-page document with exhibits demonstrating the office’s accuracy.
